I found out about Niamh Smith's typography through one of the print and pattern books and found it really interesting because it is so different from the other examples I have looked at. The idea of drawing the patterns around the letterforms instead of inside them is so simple, but looks so good and really stand out. I think the bright colours against a black background also helps the letters to stand out. The designs all still look really professional and I think would interest a range of audiences. I'm impressed that this style of typography even still works with longer quotes, so it is definitely something I would like to try with my designs.
