Good Is... (Logo Research)

I have researched logos to do with my 'good', as well as logos that represent the statements I made in the concept development workshop. With the logo designs I have chosen I have written my reason for choosing them as some of my statements weren't easy to find logos to represent them.

Here are the logos for the Jamboree's I have attended, both UK and international logos:

- It is a life changing event because you make new friends and learn new skills

(People who have attended volunteer camps and worked abroad say these events are life-changing)

- Guides who are at the right age could be excited to go

(Official Logos)

- Those who are not involved in scouting/guiding probably wouldn't care as it seems irrelevant

(Young people may be involved in other after-school clubs and not scouting/guiding)

- It is better than any other camp due to the scale and the amount of people, and the activities available

(Logos for smaller scale scout camps)

- It would be a teacher as you learn so much and care for others

(Here are the logos from the school/colleges I have attended)

- It would be Beyonce as she is all about girl power, and is an active, interesting person

(Two examples of Beyonce logos off her album)

- It would be disneyland as its somewhere busy and full of excitement

(Disneyland resort logo)

- It would be a globe as you feel you are seeing all of the world in one place

(These are travel companies helping people to see the world)

- It would be a festival as there is dancing, partying and camping

(A few festival logos)

Good is... Task Two

Colour for print

Using examples of design for branding & identity, packaging & promotion, publishing & editorial, information & wayfinding explore the following colour systems:

CMYK (process) Spot Colour (2 or more) Monochrome & Tints (solid colour and half-tone)

In order to develop a significant awareness of print production methods, you will need to identify at least 2 examples of each colour process from each of the four areas of design.

EBay is perhaps the ultimate online destination for used goods, so it only makes sense that the site is taking its hand-me-down sensibilities a step further with the eBay Box: a shipping container designed to be sent from sellers to buyers and back until the container becomes a soggy heap of post-recycled mud. The box, which is made out of 100% FSC-certified material, features water-based inks and requires minimal tape to close.
The box idea was the grand prize winner at eBay's annual Innovation Expo, a celebration of creative ideas from eBay employees. Designed for "simple green shipping," eBay believes that a single box reused five times could save nearly 4,000 trees, 2.4 million gallons of water, and conserve enough energy to juice up 49 homes for a year.
EBay will send out a pilot run of 100,000 boxes in October to all sellers who request them. Recipients can log on to a special website to report on the status of their boxes (and track them as they move from place to place), and after a few months, eBay will evaluate the program and figure out how to proceed.

Proposal for the New York Times Sunday Magazine (Feb 2011). The infographics displays a set of data about the most influential celebrities on Twitter (most re-tweeted or active tweeters) against the celebrities with most twitter-followers (early 2010), to find out who really is the most influential on the social network.

Tints are used to make this 2 colour + stock piece colourful
