An obvious choice to look at when considering decorative type, I wanted to include some of Si Scott's work on my design context blog, which I have appreciated for a while, as type as image is an area I want to focus on. They show His hand drawn letterforms are so detailed I think it would be a real challenge to do something like this and so I would love to try creating something this intricate with pen and ink and then digitally alter it on illustrator.
